The STG-44 (A.K.A "Sturmgewehr 1944" or "Storm Rifle" 1944) was the start for a new chapter in Earth's history, the reign of the assault rifle. The STG-44 was the world's first assault rifle ever and is the grandfather of the AK-47 and even the Colt M-16. The weapon was designed in Nazi, Germany which started the race to create the most effective new rifle that could use the the accuracy and range of the rifle, with the firepower of the machine gun. They gave the concept to two different designers and manufacturers, Haenel and Walther. Eventually both came to the Nazis with their own designs and the only one they went with was Haenel who came out with the MKb-42 in 1942. The weapon also came out with a new round, the 7.92x33mm Kurz and a new magazine, as well as the first attachments to the weapon. The only problem was that during the war, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler overlooked the project because he didn't want rifles on the battlefield, only submachine guns. Eventually, after hearing this, they manufacturers ended up making the weapon in secret and distributed it to the german soldiers. Eventually when Hitler met with his men, their request was "More STG-44s" which he informed them not to make, but when demonstrated the weapon, he changed his mind and allowed the manufacturing of the new weapon and round. The weapon served until the war ended in Europe by the early spring of 1945, but the weapon was known to have given Mikhail Kalashnikov his ideas of the AK-47, as well as Sergei Simonov's ideas for the SKS. There were 425,977 STG-44 assault rifles manufactured by Germany and even today, countries like Syria, Israel and even East Germany still use the weapon today.

2025[]

By the year 2025, all of the world's weapons that use bullets including the STG-44 were stored in large warehouses where they stayed until the North Koreans raided them and bought them to Zarchos, which were distributed to the group of Zarchonians led by Sarkos Two-Balls.

2436[]

By the year 2436; the STG-44 was still being used by the Fascirians and later on; the weapon was designed into another weapon that was called the STG M-85 and that weapon later inspired the creation of the MG-83; the predeccessor of the MG-42.
