World War 1Edit
The Luger was first manufactured by the German Empire during the start of World War 1 and was one of the first pistols to use the new 9x19mm Parabellum ammunition by that time. It was on the frontlines as one of the sidearms (the other being the Mauser C96) in the holsters of German troops.
World War 2Edit
By the early battles of World War 2; many members of the Wehrmacht and Schutzstaffel; even the Luftwaffe were supplied with this pistol as their sidearm once again. This time however; the Luger showed that any mud or dirt that got into the mechanics of the weapon would allow it to jam and that cost many German troops their lives. Later on they manufactured a special holster to keep it from getting dirty.
Later on; materials to manufacture the weapon were getting harder to make and therefore; Germany needed a new pistol that was cheap and easy to operate; leading to the production of the Walther P38. The P38 would later replace the Luger as the standard issued pistol of Nazi Germany.
By the year 2025; the Luger and other weapons that used conventional ammunition were scrapped and many of these pistols were destroyed; however others were used for collections. While on the planet Fasciria; the Fascirians had taken many of these pistols with them when they took over the planet back in the 50s. Also the Anti-Fascist Resistance is known to have a sufficient amount of these pistols in use as well.
Even after 536 years of service; the Luger has proven that you can't keep an old war horse down for long; in fact by the same year; an energy variant called the E-Luger P36. Others like Sarkos Two-Balls have taking a liking to the use of the Luger.
